"HornAfrik Integration Projects" is non-profit organisation that serves large minority ethnic community in Southwark, in the areas of education, sport and cultural diversity. It has been created in summer 2002 in response to the need of the communities it serves. Although its main activities target youths from Horn of Africa, it is also involved in an adult education in multi-discipline.
Mission statement
The main focus of the organisation is to address issues around social exclusion by empowering the community that are recognised and acknowledged as being marginalised from the mainstream of society. Through workshops, teaching and training, we will develop the potential of east African communities and empower them to take advantage of lifelong learning opportunities, training and employment.to facilitate the process of social cohesion and integration with particularv emphasis for the Somali community to foster and open windows of opportunities.
